Fuchsia's Crafty Notions

A little thermometer I picked up in the Craft Barn Last November ,Wanted it to have weathery things on it and have been thinking about it for ages . Then this week Tim Holtz was on QVC with new little stamps and it all just fell into place LOL It has been inked up with Distress inks the edges have been done with a green coloured inka gold (my favourite medium at the moment ) The Metal sunshine is a Sizzex die the leaf is one of Tims Dies and the snow flakes are Cuttlebugs . It says Have a beautiful day (paper mania stamps) and It's the little things that make life big Plus all the other stamped images Tim Holtz. This is also going to be a Hugbinders raffle prize . Well I haven't been Idle How often do you just stop and think of yourself for a moment ? many of us don't Hence the Mirror Just stop every now and then and give yourself a hug Because more often than not you need it ! I used Acrylics /Inka golds in reds greens coppers and golds /Tim Holtz Distressing inks plus the dies for the flowers leaves and Moths and scrolls /some Beadazzles /fantasy film for the moth wings /wooden letters dipped in the melting pot and stamped into /plus Loads and loads of grunge paper and glossy accents ... This Mirror has been altered for the Hugbinders Raffle sorry I cannot seem to get a better photo Thanks for passing by xxx

Well I am not going to say that I am glad to see the back of last year even though there were some very low points to it there was also some very lovely times had too . However I will look forward to this year and take it month by month and see what it brings . Resolutions I must craft more I will have fish and chips at least once this year I will finish all the things I have started Well I might be able to stick to these ones LOL Right back to crafting see you soon

Am poorly with chest infection that came with man flu ! So I am hopping about looking at the wonderful work around the world of Blogs and its makes me feel good too as there is a lot of work to smile at out there . Thanks guys x

well here is my mirror. First I gesso the frame and paint with titanium white acrylic next I pick out the colours from the mosaic tiles and sponge the frame using Lumière's pearl blue mixed with pearl white plus halo gold and then metallic bronze mixed with pearl violet,when dry I coated with matt varnish . Chipboard letters were then dipped in the melting pot using Utee and flex and assorted embossing powders and then stamped into.I then brushed over them with perfect pearls . Marine life was made using Fimo and moulds and also brushed with perfect pearls. When gluing on the letters please make sure the Mirror is up the right way like what I did LOL or you will have to re-string the back. I really like the finished mirror I hope you do too .
